Red Velvet Cake

Last night I made a Red Velvet Cake with vanilla frosting. I know these are usually made at Christmas, but since it is close to Valentine's Day, I thought it was appropriate.

It was delicious! The recipe came from an old Family Circle magazine. The only thing I did different from the recipe was make it in an angel food cake pan instead of as a two layer cake, and I used a whole bottle of red food coloring. The color was vivid, and the cake was moist!
